Nahoft Ensemble


The Ensemble is composed of music students who commenced their activities under Jahanshah Saremi’s supervision in 1995 and after about a year they held their first concert by performing some of the works of Persian Music Maestros in 1996.

Nahoft was awarded as the select group of Youth section at Fajr International   Music Festival in 1999, 2000 and 200

Nahoft’s foremost goal has been training gifted adolescents in this field, providing them with different types of instructions in solo- and group-playing, promoting their musical culture and mentality as well as assisting them to achieve a committed and artistic form of music, followed by performing and producing it.  

* Nahoft means covered or hidden. In music, however, it is one of the twenty four branches of Persian classical music, the name of one of the gushehs of  dastgah-e-Nava (a name of Iranian classical music modal system)
